Zumba Fitness DVD Workouts

Of all the dance related fitness programs that have ever materialized in the last 40 or so years, nothing really comes close to the explosion of popularity enjoyed by the Zumba dance experience. This is a fantastic learning tool for a variety of dance based workout routines that just about anyone can learn to use and the best part of it all is that it really a lot of fun to do.

Most people, when they think of working out, conjure up an image of a slender, lithe, leotard clad celebrity going through a series of painful looking moves spurred on by a personal trainer barking commands and generally goading her to ever greater heights. While it might look entertaining to watch, not too many people have the stamina, strength or inclination to want to follow said celebrity through all of her bone jarring moves.

Then along came the Zumba dance party and all that changed. Now we have a DVD workout program that most people cab do at home and that does not involve getting yourself into back breaking positions or pump endless repetitions of leg presses. All you need to do is learn the dance moves that go along with the ever so catchy Latin music and then do as much or as little as you want. Obviously the more exercise you do, the fitter you will become. But you can take it at your own pace and do as much as you think you can do.

You can then increase the amount of this form of aerobic dancing that you do each day at a pace that suits you. The more you do, the more you will be able to do and because it is something that people like to do, then the chances are that most people who use it will naturally increase their daily workout simply because they want to dance more!

Another great thing about Zumba is that it doesn't take too much figuring out to get a lot from it. Sure you will have to learn the dance moves to progress, but think about this. If you are given a complicated diet sheet that you had to fill out each day and calculate the number of calories you were eating against the number of calories you were burning through your exercises, then shown a set of dance moves on a DVD to learn, which do you think you would learn first?

Most people would learn the dance moves because they are simpler than the alternative and a lot of fun to do. Whereas counting and calculating calories is boring, boring and boring!
